Grain Policy

2016 Harvest Programs

Delayed Price: Corn .05 cents each 30 days until 10.1.17. If grain is not priced by Oct 1st 2017 bushels will be rolled into new crop DP contracts. Corn will be shrunk and dried starting at 15% moisture. Beans are .18 until Dec 31 2016 then .04 cents per month until 9.15.17 and if not priced by 9.15.17 they will be rolled into new crop DP program. Storage will be based on average date of unload.

Short Term Open Storage: Grain can be placed in open from Friday to Friday for free. If the elevator is not told what to do with the grain by Friday at noon that grain will be placed on a Delayed Price Contact.

Long Term Open Storage: Corn placed in Long Term Open Storage will be shrunk and dried to 13% with a 10 cent incharge and 4 cents per month. Beans will be charged 10 cent in and 4 cents per month. Storage charges will be based on average date of unload. Limited to space availability.

Grain Bank: Corn will be shrunk and dried to 14%. Grain placed into grain bank will incur a 4 cent per month charge from average date of unload accumulated daily. If supplements are not added there will be a 15 cent out charge. Available as space allows.

Producers that place grain on Delayed Price lose beneficial interest of that grain. We must know; Who’s grain it is, Splits of that grain(if any), and what is to be done with the grain before the load can be dumped. With this proper information it will help speed up dumping time. Once the grain is sold it cannot be changed. When picking up your tickets make sure all information is correct.
