Keeping Our Communities Strong

Southeast Farmers Co-op was pleased to partner with CoBank to help support the Centerville Fire Department. Through their participation in the CoBank Sharing Success program, Southeast Farmers was able to donate $10,000 to the department. Through the program, CoBank matched the $5,000 contribution from Southeast dollar for dollar.

According to Centerville fire chief Tim Ganschow, the funds will be used to purchase a new thermal imaging camera. In addition to locating individuals in house fires, the camera can also be used in nighttime accident situations to find someone ejected from their vehicle.

Centerville location manager John Limoges notes that giving back to the community is important to Southeast Farmers.

“We are very appreciative of the business that we receive in the communities that we serve,” he states. “We want to give to the causes and organizations that are very important in keeping those communities strong. The fire department is certainly one of those organizations.”
